This morning I woke up in a good mood, even though it is a school day. I’m actually having fun – it’s my senior year so I plan to go to college at UL.

I start my day in reading with Ms. Jennifer. It’s in the new Options room which is great.

I go to second hour with Ms. Brittney where I learn math like subtraction and multiplying. I personally like counting backwards – I’m pretty good at it.

Next, I go to the PAES Lab with Mr. Brian. I learn to improve speaking skills. I learn how to be organized. And I do other tasks to help me learn how to do stuff on my own. This week I’m working on how to prepare for a shopping trip and preparing for my thanksgiving meal at school on Thursday.

I go to 4th hour which is P.E. with Coach Strojny, I run a mile every Monday, play basketball and run different drills – it’s  a lot of fun because I get to be with my friends.

After, I go to 5th hour which is my newspaper class with Mrs. Talbot. I get to write stories about what’s going on at school and around Lafayette.

I walk with Tatum Guidry (‘18) to my religion class with Mrs. Phillips. Recently, I’ve been learning about social issues and I helped in a group project.

Finally, I finish my day in “Options hour” which changes every day.

On Monday, I went to the library. Tuesday, I went to the garden and checked the growth of the plants. Wednesday I went to the garden again and also went to the pep rally for winter sports. Thursday, I have a class thanksgiving meal with all of my friends. Friday is cleanup day.

That’s pretty much what a day in my life is like.
