My Shell

I would live in my shell. I will walk on the sand. I have pinchers

and I will be a crab. I will

Dig a hole, and sleep all day in my shell. I will see the tide

Coming in, and the waves will

Wash me away out in the surf again. I will hide in my shell.

My shell will have stripes on it. I may be in danger when

People touch me. So I will walk

Back out into the water. I will join all of my other friends in

The water and crawl around.

I will live in front of the sand bar. The waves will move

Me to the land onto the wet

Sand. The white caps grow big.

All of the female crabs will love me. We have small legs that

Are fun to walk on. I would

Walk fast into the water with my friends.
